In Chemical & Engineering News: Methane cuts could slow extreme climate change

Methane has been somewhat neglected in discussions about climate change, but it’s been getting more attention lately, including in the most recent scientific report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). “As hard as reducing CO2 is, we’re not going to meet our temperature targets by tackling CO2 alone,” says Rob Jackson, an earth system scientist at Stanford University and chair of the Global Carbon Project. “We have to tackle methane.”
