Liliana Karesh

Intern

After witnessing the 2017 Napa County fires engulf her community in flames, Methane Action Intern and Napa High School Senior Liliana Karesh was inspired to take action on climate change. She expanded her knowledge in the environmental field through her participation in the Sonoma Ecology Center EnviroLeaders summer program, completion of an internship for the Napa Resource Conservation District, and involvement in Jameson Humane’s Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and Planet (LEAP) program. Currently, Liliana is co-president of the Napa Schools for Climate Action youth group, as well as an Intern for the Office of Congressman Mike Thompson and the Napa Sierra Club. Liliana is leading and developing the Youth Civic Leaders Program in collaboration with the Napa Valley Unified School District and League of Women Voters Napa and is co-president of the Environmental Club at her high school. She hopes to pursue her interest in environmental activism further by double majoring in environmental studies and public policy at a four-year university.
